Therapy Services.

Children.

(Age 5-12)

Young Children. Is your child worried, sad, or easily distracted? Are they having trouble sleeping? Are you tired of managing temper tantrums? I help children with these common problems by attuning to their unique needs, joining with their interests, and teaching new emotional skills through the language of play (e.g., art, games, books). I also meet with caregivers for parenting coaching and to review the skills your child is learning in therapy.

Older Children/Pre-teens. Is your child going through puberty and feeling uncomfortable with their body? Are they experiencing big mood changes? Are they having trouble making friends? I help older children explore their changing emotions, as well as learn practical tools to express themselves, through games, art, dialogue, and self-reflection. I also provide caregivers with the tools and resources they need to navigate difficult conversations that come up during this scary and confusing time.

Adolescents.

(Age 13-18)

Is your teen struggling with sadness, anxiety, or poor self-esteem? Have they been through a traumatic experience? Is every conversation you have with them turning into an argument? I help teens navigate difficult emotions and recognize the inner strengths they possess to meet life’s challenges. Many teens also need an outlet to explore who they are with regards to their racial identity, spirituality, gender, and sexual orientation. I make space for teens to talk, draw, or write about any number of these topics in therapy.

Young Adults.

(Age 18-25)

Are you going through a significant life transition and need someone to confide in? I enjoy working with young adults who are experiencing isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, body image concerns, mood challenges, relationship difficulties, identity conflicts, and racial or LGBTQ-related oppression. I utilize a collaborative and supportive approach to help young adults tackle barriers to self-growth and experience healing.

Family.

Do you want to improve your relationship with your child or teen? Are your child’s disruptive behaviors impacting the whole family? Are you struggling to find common ground due to generational differences? I am very passionate about helping families learn to communicate and connect better as they face the challenges of daily life together.

I have experience supporting families who are going through family changes, such as parent illness, separation/divorce, or loss. I also have experience supporting family members through the process of accepting a child who is coming out as LGBTQIA+ or receiving gender-affirming medical care. I work with all types of caregivers, including grandparents, foster parents, and adoptive parents.
